Sekyu: “Oy, Sir! Kayo pala ‘yan. Kilala n’yo na pala si Manong? Ano pong ginagawa n’yo rito?”

Ngumiti lang ako sa kanya at sabay sabing, “Halika muna rito, inom ka muna. Hindi ko akalaing dito ka rin pala umuupa kay Manong.”

Kaya ayun, sumabay na rin sa amin ang sekyu. Maya-maya, nalaman ko na kamag-anak pala siya ni Manong. Sakto rin na may bagong bukas na hotel sa lugar at doon siya na-assign. Ang pangalan niya ay Koko, pero tinatawag ko siyang Boss Koko.

Habang nag-iinuman kami ni Koko, hindi ko na inantala pa ang pagsabi ng dahilan kung bakit ako napadpad doon.

“Boss Ko, di ba nagtanong ako sa ‘yo kanina kung may nakita kang isang lalaking medyo may edad na pero mukhang matikas pa rin? Natatandaan mo ‘yon?”

Koko: “Oo, Sir. ...
